Nursery

Dear Zoo Nursery

At Mildmay Infant and Nursery School we are really lucky to have two nursery classes. The two classes play and learn together in two light, spacious and vibrant classrooms. The children have free flow throughout their sessions between these two rooms and have base rooms for registration and carpet times. We are really lucky that the nursery children have their own outdoor play area which they access regularly every day. In addition the nursery children visit the early years playground where they can play with the large play equipment including bikes, scooters, hoops, bats and balls, which they love!

The provision in the nursery is expertly planned and implemented by qualified teachers who are experts in the education of young children. The play based activities are carefully selected to complement the early years curriculum through activities that are engaging, stimulating and differentiated in a fun and relaxed way. The play based provision is supported by nursery nurses and support staff that are specialists in learning throughout the preschool years.

Children are accepted into our fabulous nursery the term following their third birthday and we currently have three intakes per year in September, January and April. We offer a transition program the term before the children are due to start nursery which we find helps the children to settle into nursery quickly and happily. At present we offer term time sessions consisting of;

15 hours of nursery funded which is offered as five mornings, five afternoons or two full days and one afternoon OR  30 hours of nursery funded sessions which is five full school days. A small charge for full days is made to cover the time in between the morning and afternoon nursery sessions.

If you require any further information or are interested in your child joining our nursery then please contact the school office on 01245 250021 and ask to speak to Mrs Johnson or Ms Babbs the nursery manager.
