Signpost Support

Wellbeing Provision at Mildmay Infant & Nursery School

We have recently updated our wellbeing provision and we would like to make you aware of the support we can access on your behalf.

We are aware that life can have challenges and sometimes it helps to have support to find the right help and guidance. We are here to listen and all cases are addressed sensitively and with understanding.

Gemma Burton – Admin/Finance Assistant

Gemma works in our school office and is able to signpost you to in school support or external services that can provide help in different circumstances. These include:

  • Financial difficulties
  • Free School Meals/Holiday Food vouchers
  • Food parcels
  • Clothing parcels
  • Support for families through difficult personal circumstances

 

Michelle Jarvis - Attendance Officer

Michelle is available if you have challenges that impact on your child’s school attendance. She can offer guidance to reduce absence or signpost to support services.

Tara Francis - Special Needs Coordinator

Tara oversees our SEND provision for the school and can offer support with regards to referrals, diagnosis, pediatrician reports, SEND focused parental support or advice, SEND support in school, EHCP funding information and any queries about our inclusive curriculum school ethos.

 

Claire Day – Wellbeing LSA

Claire works in school with children to support their wellbeing. This includes spending individual time with children and running small groups with an agreed focus such as supporting friendships and other social or emotional needs.

Sam Harris – School Counsellor

Sam works in our school on a Wednesday afternoon and can support children with a variety of wellbeing and mental health needs. There can be a waiting list and the senior leadership team triage the priority order for allocated sessions.

Safeguarding

If your concerns are regarding safeguarding, a Designated Safeguarding Lead will contact you. Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are:

Mrs S Jones – Deputy Headteacher

Mrs Foley – EYFS Lead

Mrs Lee – Year 2 Lead
